Studied koto and sangen with his grandmother Keiko Abe and mother Kunie Fujii (Living National Treasure). The first recital was held in 1995 (17 times in total). In 2001, "Jiuta Live" was started (held 100 times in total) as a place to pass on tradition and pursue new possibilities of classical music. In 2006, he held a ``jiuta concert'' in London at the invitation of the ``City of London Festival.'' From then on, they will hold many overseas performances until 2020. ``SATZ'' was formed in 2019 with Suiaki Takahashi, Hisashi Tsurusawa, and Keisuke Zenyoji. Released CD "Yukiboku" in 2020 (later released "Jiuta no Iroha" and 3 other titles). Opened a YouTube channel and has released over 100 live videos to date. Started a new series of concerts in 2022, ``The Power of Tradition: The Present of Classics'' (held 8 times since then). He has won the Japan Arts Festival Music Division Grand Prize, the Record Division Grand Prize for the second year in a row, the Matsuo Entertainment Award for Excellence, and the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Art Encouragement Award. Received the Medal with Purple Ribbon in 2011. Currently, in addition to appearing in concerts and broadcasts, he is also teaching the younger generation.
